In January 2023, the leaders of URSA public organization for animal rights protection Yaroslava Koba, Olena Machynska and Natalia Kovalenko visited the liberated cities and towns of Kharkiv region, namely Izium, Kamianka, Kupiansk and Kharkiv, with a humanitarian mission. During the trip, the team distributed 100 kg of dog and cat food to volunteers and locals who were taking care of homeless animals.
The situation in the liberated cities remains very heavy: few residents and a huge number of abandoned animals who are actively breeding.
That's why URSA is aiming to start another animal sterilization campaign in spring 2023.
